Honey, I'm Home!

I just have one thing to say.

This yarn fast sucks!

I guess I promised you Yarn Pr0n:

This is my much anticipated Sweet Georgia in Omikase 5. It is very lovely - which you can't really tell because this photo is so blurry!

And then, since this is my 5th order from the Loopy Ewe - she sent me some goodies - a really cute project bag, some Dove chocolate (don't even ask why there's no photo of that!) and this:

Some Opal that I'm pretty sure I've been envying on some other sock knitter blogs. It looks like ice cream, and I think she looked at my usual color choices before she picked this out to send to me. How nice is Lori Berger? LOVE!

Oh, and by the way, Lori has updated the Loopy Ewe with some new yarn tonight: All Things Heather, Cider Moon, Seacoast Handpainted and, oh yes, she is now carrying the Louet Gems. You may go now, because I have already done my shopping. I am incorrigible and uncurable (incurable?) in my sock yarn addiction. At least I am knitting socks as fast as I can.

I am tying up the toe on my Embossed Leaves Socks, so I should have an FO to show you tomorrow.

Let's start with the pr0n shall we?
(Yarn Pr0n, that is.)

I bought this right before my birthday (when I received much love in the form of Loopy Ewe dollars, so look for more pr0n to come, ok?)

I bought this from this young lady, over at her etsy store, when she came in and performed a little hit and run restock. (Seriously, 13 skeins in like 20 minutes!)

This is Tapestry and Love. Kind of appropriate for February.

This is a rather blurry photo of the baby sweater I'm knitting from the Knit Cafe book I've been yakking about. I thought I was making a lot of progress, but I had to frog about six inches this morning as I was knitting the Honeycomb pattern stitch incorrectly. So here is the progress, thus far:
I'm about two and a half inches into the pattern stitch, I'm about to make the sleeve hole - I'm hoping to get a lot done today, so I can finish a sock tomorrow!

(The weekend? No MOA for me, hockey (win), hockey (lose), snowboard (everyone wins - no broken limbs), lacrosse (scrimmage - no score), MORE lacrosse (The Swarm - WON!), hockey (again...practice) weekend over.)

Oh, and the siding crew? They worked all weekend long (except Sunday), I discovered on Saturday that the Portalet had not arrived on Friday. None of the crew spoke English, and guess where they....ummm...relieved themselves? If you guessed the golf course and the neighbors bushes, you would be right. So, how do I tell them..."Not okay!"?? (Portalet arrived today, thank you very much.)

I have the best KMKS Pal ever!

Look at all the great goodies she sent me!
There is a really cute pattern in there, Mission Falls "Thrill", Three skeins of Mission Falls to make the pattern up with, some bamboo needles, a crochet hook, a stitch holder, a cute little note, some Mentos and a little key chain with post-it type notes in it! OH, and the sweet little bag she made for me. The best part is the lining; the lining is awesome and there will be no needles poking through this bag!

I was worried that I didn't have a pal because she couldn't get her e-mail through to me and I didn't hear from her because of that until the week before we were supposed to ship! Anyway, I'm not sure if she has a blog, but THANKS AGAIN JOANNE!

There are pictures of my kit up at Mia's blog:

I really enjoyed putting Mia's kit together. She is a Firefighter out east and I loved reading her blog while I was putting everything together. Then somehow she started posting here and I thought she'd hunted me out, but she said she hadn't!

Again, THANKS JOANNE!
and Hi Mia!
