Sssssuperstar!

Life has been crazy, with a traveling lacrosse team, and kids taking drivers education and SAT prep courses.  The heat, of course.  The heat.  A weekend in July watching a U17 team play lacrosse in Vernon Hills, IL - Sunday ended in a game played in 105 degree heat.  Puck's team took the whole tournament and qualified to play in the National competition in Florida in December/January!

Pattern:  Supernova by Chrissy Gardiner  Yarn:  Faery Fiber Sprite 4ply Merino/Nylon Blend Fingering Weight  Color: Cedric  Needles:  US 1 - 2.25 mm  Started:  June 22, 2011  Completed: July 24, 2011 Note:  This colorway actually reminds me of Van Gogh's Starry Night - one of my favorites.  I've been doing my gusset reductions like this for about a month, and then Turtlegirl posted a "How To" and I realized she reduced in a different direction.  This still works, but her way looks even better.  You will see in a few days when I post some socks finished that way!

Comments:
Oh, I can definitely see the Starry Night colors there!

Isn't today gorgeous?! So enjoying a little break from the heat.

I like the idea of the lacrosse games in Florida in the winter!

My nephew had a lacrosse scholarship to Missouri Baptist in Saint Louis (he's graduating now) but I have to admit I've only gone to see him once. Perhaps that will be Youngest Child's newest sport . . .

Those look almost ruffly. Nice!

They're gorgeous!
