Is It Over Yet?
Puck started High School today. We returned from dropping the Teen off in Vancouver on Sunday afternoon. Want to look out of my Vancouver hotel window? Look!
We had been on the road since August 25. I am exhausted. Physically and emotionally exhausted. I spent the morning volunteering at the high school and I am trying to adjust to new multi-focal contacts. Would think poorly of me if I whined a little bit? There, done whining.
I finished a couple knitting projects in August, now I can finally get around to taking some pictures!
Pattern: Karira by Shannon Okey Yarn: Ruby Sapphire Yarns Tenderfoot Color: Nalani Needles: US 1½ - 2.5 mm Started: August 1, 2010 Completed: August 17, 2010
Note: I am not positive about my start date on these, but I do know these were an August project and I finished them on August 17, so there it is. This was part of the Girl with The Dragon KAL on Ravelry. We actually had custom-dyed yarns available to us, but I knit mine from well-marinated stash and these knit up very beautifully. The pattern incorporated a basket-weave heel and throughout the body and I really am happy with the finished look.
I have some more pictures to take today!

Very Pretty! I imagine that you drove a lot to deposit your son in a foreign country for college. I'm emotionally wiped out from depositing my son at college(he hasn't actually left the house though & unless I kick him out isn't going anywhere anytime soon)and ThePrincess starting high school I've no idea how you're holding up!
Also - how did this happen so soon?

I'm glad you survived, although it sounds like a close thing... I LOVE Vancouver. :)
Pretty socks!
And I hope you get a chance to rest up.

Wow, that view of Vancouver is wonderful! I can only imagine how difficult it was to "deposit" you teen there, but what a wonderful college and city. I'm sure he will do well.
Pretty socks and love the Sockhead! I think I will have to do that one.
Good luck to the teen in BC.

I want to see your travel pics. I am e-mailing you right now! And I am on the verge of getting contacts - tell me it gets better - that it's worth it.
Re: Vancouver pic - are you kidding me? That is a stunning photo. I could used to that place!
Love the lemony socks. Reminds me of my Lemon Meringue doll I had as a kid. I can still smell her hair!
