The OTHER Pair of February Socks:

Pattern: California Dreamin' Clog Socks by Ellie Putz Yarn: Fiesta Yarns Baby Boom Color: Rhubarb Needles: US 1.5 Started: February 13, 2010 Completed: February 17, 2010

Note: It must be my copy of the pattern because I didn’t see notes from anyone else up on Ravelry, however, even if it is free, the pattern could use a good editing. There are written pattern instructions and charts. However, the charts do not match the written instructions. Then, the pattern is carried down into the heel, and try as I might, I could find no instructions for the heel turn. Easy enough to figure out, but I wouldn’t recommend this pattern to a beginner because they would be in tears. This yarn was weird and stretchy and knit up into a nice pair of socks, however, it was not one of those yarns that gave me a lot of pleasure to use.

Olympics are done.
I thought they were going to pull it off, those USA Hockey boys. SIGH. Well if anybody besides us is going to celebrate that gold, then the Canadians should. It was a great game, right up until the very end.

Kudos and Good Wishes
Say HURRAY for my friend Rani - she skied in the Birkie Kortelopet and had an awesome time and and awesome Time!

Spare a thought for my first Secret Pal ever, Patty. She lost her husband yesterday after his long battle with cancer. She was my first Secret Pal, and we discovered we'd grown up not half a mile from each other. What a strong and courageous woman.

The sun is shining today and the snow is melting. Spring may yet come to us.

Comments:
At least the socks are pretty, even if it sounds like they weren't your favorites to knit.

Sending my thoughts to your friend Patty. :(
