Oh My Heavens!

How much time does a college-bound Senior need from his mom anyway? Sheesh.

Hey look! I am going to try to draw your attention away from my absence by showing you socks!

Pattern: Rose Bud Lane Socks by Sabine Riefler Yarn: Funky Carolina Superwash Merino sock yarn Color: Witch Blood Needles: Knitpicks Harmony DPN's US 1 Started: November 4, 2009 Completed: November 10, 2009.

Note: A simple and pretty pattern that knit up very quickly and very stretchy. I really loved the base of this Funky Carolina yarn - it felt thick/thin to my fingers by knit up very beautifully and consistently. She doesn't have any sock yarn up in her shop right now - but I think this yarn would be worth a little persistence.

Life has been busy, I fed 19 for Thanksgiving yesterday and I was thankful for them all. I have been herding the Senior to complete his college applications. I've been hitting the knitting group every other Wednesday. Watching a LOT of Football, and hockey. Tonight the HS plays in the Prep Bowl State Championship and we're taking a quick shot up to the cabin tomorrow and Sunday. I'm also trying to get the Holiday basket filled with socks so my holiday guests can grab themselves a pair. My MIL ran off with hers yesterday.

In the meantime, I hope to spend more time with the blog in the near future!

Oh! I actually won some books from Chris over at SOC and we got together for a little knit and coffee to pick up my prize! I'd show you a picture, but I'm afraid they are spread out in my reading spots all over the house.

Comments:
Those socks are gorgeous! Added the pattern to my list of patterns to knit sometime. :)

I'm glad to hear the books are all spread out and being read! :)

Great amazing idea to have enough socks for friends to take a pair! That would take me all year to accomplish. Enjoy your cabin!

There is something about this time of year that makes blogging near-impossible! Hang in there with all the craziness. Good tip on the sock yarn. You are such a pusher. :-)

I hear that there is some kind of a reprieve with this I have a Senior thing sometime between the graduation party and August when "they" start packing.

Nice socks. And who has time to blog right now?

p.s. Love the holiday sock basket idea--brilliant! Totally wish I had the time to do such a thing myself.
