Round 3 Underway:

Slippin' Stripin' Socks.
I love this sock and this pattern - this is laceweight yarn - could you tell? However, for some reason I am knitting v-e-r-y slowly. I started this on Friday didn't finish until last night. I am not sure my chances are very good in this third round. Only 12 out of 20 move on. Well, I'll keep plugging away.

Isn't this pretty? This is malabrigo Silky Merino. I have enough for a good-sized project. Any ideas?

We're having birthday cake today for DH and nephew, they share a birthday, so I must get a movin' to have things ready.

Comments:
Oh, those socks are pretty. Love the colors!

The Malabrigo is too yummy. I'd probably just keep it to look at (and feel).

I have no clue what to do with the Malabrigo but it's so lovely, I'd end up sleeping with it.

Knit like the wind!! :) Hmm, maybe the Malabrigo should be a pet skein.

Knit knit knit... make it to round 3.... keep my fingers crossed (not you, you have to knit). Love the Malabrigo. Not the slightest idea what to make with it, but there is Ravelry:

Have a good time choosing!

This is the one I like most:

that is a mighty fine toe you're sporting there....

That malabrigo would make a mighty fine cowl!

Oh I love the Malabrigo. Bring it on Wednesday so we can touch it!

Yum! When you say 'large sized project', are you talking accessory-sized (Juno wrap?), or fun lace sweater sized??? It's gorgeous. I'm sure something will pop up.

Over the weekend I saw that koigu now has a merino/silk blend, too. Those jerks. It's absolutely gorgeous.

Many thanks for the compliment: re, coloring. Very sweet sentiment indeed. I usually refer to my tone as "underbelly of a dead fish" - perhaps I should stop being so harsh.

On Saturday I met Ellen (TC blogger) who was looking forward to meeting you sometime soon-- unfortunately I do not remember the name of her blog.

Yep, Debra and I worked on Bohus wristlets together on Saturday. As a result, I went out and bid on a kit on Ebay - we'll see how that goes!

I vote for a reversable scarf or wrist warmers (voodoo pattern from Knitty, perhaps?)

I love blues and browns colorways that work so nicely. Love the blog.

GO WILD! I didn't manage to quite stay awake for the end but hubby's hootin' & hollerin' informed me of the outcome.

Confession: Ralston is my fave player. He was great last night! Got my #12 t-shirt on today to celebrate!
