memelicious!

Moirae Knitting has tagged me with a meme!

The Rules:

1. Pick up the nearest book of 123 or more pages.
Heh - Chris, I blame you for this: A Kiss of Shadows by Laurell K. Hamilton

2. Open the book to page 123 and find the fifth sentence:
“I knew that humans watched him as he walked, because they could not help themselves."

3. Post the next three sentences.
“The grey coat blew back and there was the faintest bulk around his middle. Sholto had the hair, the eyes, the skin, the face, the shoulders, everything--except that from just below his nipples to vanish into his pants was a nest of tentacles, things with mouths. His mother had been sidhe, his father had not.

Something touched my shoulder and I jerked, screaming. It was Jeremy."

Um, yea.

4. Tag five people.

If you are reading this, you've probably already done this meme - however, if you feel the need go ahead and play.

Um, Socks?

The requisite sock blocker shot of my Handsome Park Ranger Zombies. Heh - Park Ranger Zombie...
My Meida's:

Pattern: Meida Socks from Interweave Knits Favorite Socks. Yarn: Araucania Ranco semi-solid - not sure of the color name. Needles: Knitpick's size 1 dpn's (2.25 mm). Started: February 27, 2008 Completed: March 16, 2008. I will definitely knit this again - but I will make the cuff longer.

Comments:
Ha! Since you linked to Moirae and not me, obviously I am blameless. :D

And really, from a Laurell K. Hamilton book? That's pretty tame!

That Zombie Park Ranger might be the best colorway name ever. Both pairs of socks turned out great - as per usual.

What a book.... (looked it up on amazon.com :-) Like your sock zombies. great colour. And the Meidas are now on my list too...

Those look great. I really like the Park Ranger ones the color is amazing.

During the week I often correspond with Cauchy09 at Flickr (she doesn't blog)-- and she said the same thing @ her Media's that she just knit-- she's going to knit them again, and with a longer cuff. :)

I really like how the Araucania Ranco knit up, too.

You are brave. I never would have done that meme with a Laurel K Hamilton book for fear it would raise the rating of my blog from PG-13 to X.

Arggh! Did you see the Wild Game last night? Another shoot-out loss. Such a shame about Foster. He's my second favorite player, behind ol' #12.

Wow, to pairs finished so quickly. I'm in awe.

I had to search my memory for a moment to remember what series that was - the fairy or the vampire one - because that "walking as seduction" thing seems to come up in a lot of her books nowadays. I've definitely aged - I'm reading a lot more mysteries now . . .

Condolences on the SCSU loss last night. What a game! I just caught the end of it on the radio as I was waiting for HM to get out of hockey practice. It must have been something to see!
