Regularly Scheduled Yarn Pr0n:

The Woolgirl Sock Club second shipment has arrived. Some tea (& honey), a little lavender soap from www.naiad.etsy.com (smells heavenly), a stitchmarker made from Unakite and Copper from Spindle Cat Studio (her shop is pretty awesome). Here is a set of these stitchmarkers here. These stitchmarkers are very clever as they are dual sized! Last, but not least, a skein of Superwash Sport in the Super Nova colorway from Spunky Eclectic. This may make a pair of hockey socks. Oh - and the magnet is hysterical - Baaad Girls! The pattern is called Irish Dreams - I will definitely make this pair. I placed the stitchmarker down there so you could see what it looked like.

(Oh, and for those of you who made fun of Kona for the toenail - he didn't tear it off deliberately - he was chasing up birds for his Guy and hit some rough terrain - the toenail was a casualty. Rolling in the cow silage later was deliberate and REALLY stupid. Wow did he stink.)

Also, in case I don't brag about my boys enough - the Teen finished Q1 with a 3.83 GPA. Phew! Only 11 more quarters to go until graduation!

Comments:
Sounds like you had a great day; nice sock club stuff and a really commendable GPA for your teen!

Am I the only one who can't always read those word verification letters before you post? Must be my nearsightedness...

Beautiful colors on that yarn. Wow.

Good on the Teen! My teen did pretty well too--3.28. Given that last year he could barely manage a 2.0 GPA, I'm feeling pretty good.

Poor Kona! Will the cone be on for longer than a week? I remember my dog had a hard time eating/drinking with his. :( I used to put a blanket over the stitches and take off the cone when I was in the room with him.

Gorgeous yarn. Woolgirl gathers nice sock kits!

Congrats to the Teen!

Really nice sock yarn and pattern! I have some cards and magnets from Spindle Cat Studio - love her stuff!

Yay Teen! That's impressive!

Such pretty yarn...

Love the sock club stuff. I just got my Loopy one today. Way to go Teen.

You go, Teen! Downside of homeschooling, if we brag about GPA, we get sideways looks - 'cause we're the ones grading him.

Love those stitch markers! What a clever idea.

What is the beautiful stuff with the sheep on it? Is it stationary? It's adorable and I want some whatever it is.

Thanks for the nice comments on Fame. Actually, I think her eyes are going to be far to light to make it in the show ring, but she's still so cute to me. I wanted a performance dog for obedience and agility and she's certainly going to be that.

Great for your teen, that's very impressive!

Poor Kona, though I'm sure he was happy hunting. Kona with the Cone :) Funny!

Way to go on the grades! WHOO HOOOOO! Brag away - that's something to be proud of!

By the way, the pics from that National Geographic hunting deal were gorgeous!

I'm with you on the sock kit. Very cool and I'll be using that pattern too.

ps. Leo's home! Peeing all over the place! I'm in love!
