Here's the deal-i-o:

Don't get me wrong - I love the Koigu - the colors are knitting up beautifully. However, I am knitting these socks up on a #1 needle and this pattern contains many YO's and K2's. The Koigu is a rather dense yarn knit at this gauge - a little like STR lightweight. Combined with the sharp points of the KP needles? My fingers are developing these little shiny callouses.

To give my fingers a break I am alternating this:

And this:

Hmm. Not really a break.

Well it is negative 13 degrees outside today, what would you have me do?

I have Season 1 of Dr. Who lined up on the computer for this afternoon. Look for progress on the projects!

Comments:
Wow! That's a lot of socks. It's been so cold I kind of wish I knit socks, wool socks would be nice right about now.

At least you have lovely socks to knit, right? The KP needles poked holes in my fingers, they were so sharp...

I think you need to finish a plain pair fast to keep your feet warm. The patterned stuff is nice but warm toes are even nicer ;)

Yep, "not really a break" was what I was beginning to think! Crazy lady! I love the colors in the April Fools socks.

Such lovely colors. I'd be switching off just for the eye candy.

The original season one of Dr Who? Or the version w/Christopher Eccleston?

Those socks are pretty! I'm not seeing much of a break though, but alternating projects is always a good idea.

Such yummy colors!
