I present to you:
Day 1 and 2 of my new H*** here in my house.
Here is some of the scaffolding that now surrounds my home. Day One
More scaffolding, day two. Cuts in the stucco - all over the house. Next they will tear it off. Then, people? Then, they take out every single window and replace them. Where there is moisture intrusion? They will reframe the window? Could I cry? Yes. Yes, I could cry.

My parents' neighbors had to go through this same thing a couple years ago. I hope there isn't too much stress and that the process doesn't take too long.
But, I gotta say... that picture of the stucco cutouts... looks exactly like DPNs and knitting in the round. :)

Wow - they are doing this in the winter? Be careful with the windows, I know a lot of houses insulated because of the Airport Noise had moisture enter throught the window wrapping. And, I too, thought the cut-out was knitting related, a la The Yarn Harlot. A sock on the wall! Good luck.
If it gets too yucky, could you come play at my house? Or at least meet for coffee somewhere. Construction noise is the worst!
Oh Guinifer, I could cry along with you. What a mess, and just as winter here finally gets cold.
Your Monkey socks are wonderful!
