FO's and Yarn Porn.

Why should I be any different?

A crazy weekend. Twins' game and Eagles Football (43 to NOTHING?) 5th grade Football (yay! Puck's team won 22 -6). Lost Lacrosse practice. Dinner at Zelo. Lyle Lovett concert (zzzz...seriously, I fell asleep! Last time I have a dirty martini with dinner). Costco. Gamestop. Neighborhood dad/child Fantasy Football draft. Birthday Party. Block Party.

FO's: The color on the left hand pillow is really not as grim as it appears. I actually knitted these last Winter but just got around to seaming and adding buttons this week. There are two additional pillows in brown and teal already up at the cabin in complimentary stitch patterns. Yarn is Knitpicks - for the life of my I can't remember where the pattern is from. I am forcing myself to finish all the leftover projects before I start anything new or fun. I've three more sweaters that need to be finished. Darn ingenue, then the Debbie Bliss Cardi, and a silly little anthropologie cardi I worked up this weekend. It needs a retro closure for the neck.

Yarn porn:

The one on the left is Spiced Chai - 180 yards recycled silk yarn and the one on the right is Kathmandu: Unrefined - 175 yards of recycled silk from Blonde Chicken Boutique - I'm actually expecting another skein of the Kathmandu - there was an order snafu and she had to reorder for me. The Spiced Chai is going to be a scarf for the MIL. The Kathmandu I'm going to have to keep for myself.

Well we made it through this day - 'night all.
(woo hoo - go Vikes!)

Wow! That was a jam-packed weekend! I skipped Lyle Lovett this time, so I was going to ask how it was, but it sounds like you probably wouldn't know :-)

Awww, lovely pillows! Mine always end up totally out of shape, but yours are perfect! And I so love the yarn, such happy and cheerful colors!

What a great weekend! It reminds me of the years that my boys were teens. Whew, it was crazy.
Your pillows are wonderful and the recycled silk is awesome.
