Pattern: Angee by Cookie A. Yarn: Malabrigo Yarn Sock Color: Stonechat Needles: US 1½ - 2.5 mm Started: May 31, 2010 Completed: June 21, 2010
Note: Oops. I forgot the cuff, doesn’t seem to matter though. Pattern was easy, yarn was gorgeous. Mmmmmmalabrigo.
In my Bloglines wanderings this morning, I stopped by here. Which made me immediately link over to here. Why? BUTTONS!
Now. I am going to our cabin for the first weekend since Memorial Day so look for me later, mmmkay?

Small spalted black walnut Handcrafted Tree Branch Buttons....1 inch to 1 1/8 inch....2 holes.
Handcrafted Tree Branch Buttons - 1 1/8 to 1 3/8 inch - 2 holes. I purchased these from the Wooden Treasures Shop on Etsy. He has many fantastical things in his shop, but I do love buttons.

or just beg for that matter.
These gentlemen sat outside for 5 minutes today while I took a few pictures, they came inside panting and begging for a fresh water bowl. Wowza, it is hot today. I'm hoping it cools off by 7:15 tonight when Puck has to play Lacrosse.

I was listening to someone talk about this book on a podcast somewhere, and I found a used copy on Amazon. Wow is this book gorgeous! I haven't picked a sweater to knit yet, but believe me, there will be a few!
In the meantime, graduation is over and now the working begins. Teen has multiple jobs this Summer and we expect to work him to the bone so he has savings when he leaves at the end of August.
My Puck is in Washington, D.C. until Tuesday evening and I miss him and his goofy friends. He leaves again on Thursday night for a Lacrosse tournament in Denver with his dad. I get to stay home to be the Teen Work Enforcer. Whee.
And the rain never seems to stop. My yard is becoming a spongy mushroom bed.

These are some sweater-like socks. The temptation to keep these is pretty irresistible.
Pattern: Olympic Copper by Anne Hutchison Yarn: Schaefer Yarn Company Heather Color: Not sure Needles: US 1½ - 2.5 mm Started: May 10, 2010 Completed: May 27, 2010
Note: These socks feel a little bit like a sweater - very nice. As lush as the yarn is, there were three knots as I knit along - very infuriating.
Watched the last game of the Stanley Cup last night and I have to say, the winning goal was so quick and surprising it took a few minutes to sink in that the whole thing is over. Yay for the Blackhawks though! Now I only have Youth Lacrosse and Twins Baseball to cheer for this Summer!

I thought that a nice afghan would be appreciated during those cold, wet Vancouver Winters, so I stashed up on some Clearance Noro from Webs and settled into making an afghan for the Teen. It's round, so the further I get, the longer each row seems to take.
In the meantime, Puck thinks he may have re-injured his heel. Please cross your fingers for my brokenhearted boy - this would take him out for the rest of the season.

Note: Although the color is not everyone's favorite, I really love how this yarn looks in the final form. Not exactly sure the destination of this pair - they are quite generously sized.
